Meet Vonnie & Wayne Hibiscus Collective was created by Wayne & Vonnie Foley love building, creating, and bringing ideas to life. Their shared passion for interior design, home renovations, and creating beautiful spaces naturally led them into a new creative journey: handcrafted pottery made right here in Orewa on the Hibiscus Coast. Having called Orewa home for the over two years, they’ve fallen in love with the community, the relaxed beach lifestyle, and the people that make the Coast feel so special. From beach walks to local cafés and the welcoming community spirit, they’ve embraced everything that makes the area feel like home. Wayne has spent years working as a builder, creating and transforming homes, while Vonnie brings her creativity and eye for design through her background in floristry, retail and homewares, previously owning a women’s fashion and homeware store. Together they bring a blend of craftsmanship, creativity, and attention to detail into everything they create. At Hibiscus Collective, their vision is simple — to create meaningful pieces that are local, handmade, and connected to the community around them. From mugs and cups to bowls, plates and pinch pots, every piece is crafted by hand and designed to feel personal. Whether it’s a family saying, a special memory, a meaningful phrase, or something uniquely your own, each creation is made to tell a story. For Wayne and Vonnie, it’s more than pottery — it’s about creating beautiful pieces for people to enjoy while supporting local creativity and becoming part of the community they love.
